2. Efficacy
The molecule of semaglutide acts as a GLP-1 agonist. It mimics the structure of GLP-1 and activates its receptors. Studies have shown that obese people are often less sensitive to the hormones that make us feel full. But by slowing gastric emptying, drugs such as semaglutide can restore satiety in these patients.

4. How to use the injection
● This product should be injected once a week, at any time of the day, and does not need to be administered according to mealtime
● This product is administered by subcutaneous injection, and the injection site can be selected as abdomen, thigh or upper arm. There is no need to adjust the dose when changing the injection site. This product should not be injected intravenously or intramuscularly.
● If necessary, the weekly dosing date can be changed, as long as the interval between doses is at least 2 days (>48 hours). After a new dosing time is chosen, weekly dosing should be continued.
5. Dosage of injections
The starting dose is 0.25 mg once a week. After 4 weeks, it should be increased to 0.5 mg once a week. After treatment with 0.5 mg once weekly for at least 4 weeks, the dose can be increased to 1 mg once weekly to further improve glycemic control. 0.25mg of this product is not a maintenance dose. Doses of more than 1 mg per week are not recommended.
6. Major side effects
Sometimes digestive symptoms such as stomach upset, bloating, nausea, constipation, diarrhea, etc. are present. Most events were mild to moderate in severity and short in duration. If you experience persistent severe abdominal pain accompanied by vomiting, discontinue use immediately and seek medical attention immediately. To minimize these side effects, patients are advised to take the following:
● Reduce the amount of food you eat at each meal to avoid being overly full.
● Stop eating when you feel full, and you don't have to force yourself to empty your plate.
● Avoid greasy or fried foods, which may exacerbate gastrointestinal reactions.
● Maintain adequate fluid intake, but avoid drinking plenty of water immediately after taking the medicine.
● Stay positive and understand that side effects are usually mild and short-lived.
●Even if nausea develops early in treatment, most people can continue to take the medication.
